| Dubai Municipality On A Green Drive |

Public parks and Horticulture Department with Dubai Municipality planted last year, 4.5 million flower plants in Dubai as a part of its city beautification drive .It was stated by Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director general of the civic body.
"Nursing flower plants in parks and squares, road sides and in residential areas has been a prime focus in our efforts to beautify the city. The planting drive started last year will be completed by this January and we hope the winter plants will yield flowers by next May," said Lootah while he detailed the project.
"We have planned our project according to the three seasons, summer winter and spring. considering the seasons and the sites we intended to beautify, we select the flower plants," added Mr. Lootah. Public Parks and horticulture Department has a special team to study about the sites and design the plantation project according to it. They decide the area of plantation, kind of the flowers, fertilizers to be applied and other details of the project. Various kinds of flower plants found in the globe are available in Dubai parks and streets.
